Our approach
We connect observable behavior to history, public policy, institutions and economic incentives. We avoid presenting one person’s experience as representative of an entire country, and we distinguish reporting from interpretation.
Sources and verification
We prioritize primary documents, official statistics, academic research and clearly attributable reporting. When evidence is incomplete or contested, we say so. Translations aim to preserve meaning and context rather than force a literal rendering.
Independence and conflicts
Editorial conclusions are not for sale. Sponsored material, affiliate relationships or meaningful conflicts of interest will be disclosed clearly if they are introduced in the future.
Corrections
We correct substantive factual errors promptly and transparently. Minor spelling, formatting or clarity edits may be made without a formal note when they do not change the meaning of a piece. Correction requests can be submitted through the Contact page.
AI and editorial responsibility
